Kakko (kakko)

Character = God Shinto priest (kannegi)

This dance is "Kirime" and a series of dances. God Shinto priest (kannegi) serving prince of Kirime is going to fix drum of treasure called percussion instrument for the court music of Japan which went down from Japanese Olympus in Kumano big shrine to suitable place for our festival Kagura. Kagura characterized by dancing state to fix many times without fixing in place that God likes very much, and to change by gesture that gets in the swing, and is funny of rhythmical drum. It is danced before "Kirime".
Musical instrument which Kakko was drum used for gagaku of the Imperial Court, and laid small hand drum (kotsuzumi). We lay on the stand and hit both sides with slim drumstick (drumstick) and play. We catch both sides of trunk which we dug out in hard tree in leather hand drum aspect, and part of hand drum (tsuzumi) is closed with "chosho" (check) and string (string) to call. We, so to speak, play a role of leader to lead flow and lenience and severity of music. Musical instrument which lays on the stand, and comes to hit both sides with drumstick of both hands.
